I’ve updated the docs on how to make your own levels for Caster. Along with this I have posted a sample mod that contains descriptions on all the different settings and options when building scenes, actors, behaviors, props, scripts, etc.
Visit http://www.casterthegame.com/mods.html for more details.
We also have a special build of Caster on iPad ready to go. Hopefully in time for the iPad launch.

Trials needs to be tweaked. When the huge swarm of critters is spawned, the game freezes when I target them with one of the targeting powers or hit them with one of the area-effect powers. Which leaves only the blue laser or the yellow defense sphere to deal with a bajillion bugs. And then it crashes before I can kill them all. Reducing the swarm a bit would help immensely.
Points for effort, though!

Am I missing something here?
I have the full version of the game (which, by the way, is awesome), I have created ~/caster/mods, and put all the files from the modpack in there. How do I access them?
Linux version, if that helps any.

Correction, I have it in ~/caster/data/mods.

The Linux version has not yet been updated. When it is, you will have access to them via the chapter select screen (which is also new).

Protip: Having trouble maxing out your skills? You will not get to keep any of the energy in the user-created levels. However, you can spawn as many trees, enemies, and energy balls as you want in the regular levels using the editing mode and it will still count!
(Quickly, before Mike decides to change it!)

@MadTinkerer Or you could just edit your save file and give yourself millions of points… but what fun is that? ^_^

What ever happened to the iPad version of caster?
July 8th, 2010 on 10:11 am
The iPad version is available as “Caster HD” in the app store.

I don’t see Caster HD in the app store anymore, with my luck it is no longer available??

Hey Teopez,
We didn’t really have a chance to polish the experience for iPad since we released at launch before iPads were available. We will probably release it again on iPad once we have an update.

Ah ok thanks! It looks like it would be a lot of fun on the iPad… Haven’t seen anything like it in the app store

When is the Ipad version of Caster coming back? Its been long enough. It would do well on the Ipad. Or consider making it a Universal game?
